Supply Chain Scholarship Opportunity

Benjamin Gordon is an entrepreneur and investor in the Palm Beach community who wants to provide an opportunity for students to ease the financial burden of school while also promoting education in supply chain management.
“Logistics and supply chain technology are important and growing contributors to our economy,” said Gordon. “This scholarship is a way to help smart students to learn from and contribute to these trends while building their career.”
The Palm Beach Benjamin Gordon Supply Chain and Logistics Scholarship details are outlined below:
Scholarship Description:
Applicants must write a short essay of between 500 and 1,000 words on disruption in the supply chain technology arena, outlining a problem and solution. Example topics can include drones, self-driving trucks, 3-D printers, automation, electric cars and trucks, and other ideas.
Finalists will have an opportunity to present their idea in a 10-minute, Shark Tank-style format, to Cambridge Capital’s partners and the scholarship judges.
Deadline: September 30, 2019.
Eligibility Considerations:
- The recipient must demonstrate academic achievement and have a creative idea or insight
- Student candidates must live in the Palm Beach County or south Florida area
- Open to high school or college students
- Must have cumulative GPA above 3.0
Award Amount
This scholarship will award $1,000 to the winning applicant to assist with tuition and other educational costs. In addition, the winner will have the opportunity to gain feedback and mentorship from the Cambridge Capital team, and to work on ongoing writing and research projects.
